RECENT PROJECTS
Here are a few examples of Marli's recent implementation and support projects.
PROJECTS: RENTAL
Marli have several projects in the Rental Industry post covid. Some included a Rental Extension to SAP B1 and others used out of the box functionality.
Understanding how the Rental industry and the Accounting aspect works, is complex. Using 2 or several SKU's to bind this together worked well as the Rental Sale cannot move stock items. There was also complexity in how different rental companies create their rental periods and have to deal with prorated billing.
The asset module is also heavily utilized in Rental companies: Keeping track where assets are located and what is available for rent.

SUPPORT: BIO-TECHNOLOGY
The majority of this support project revolved around creating financial reports (Crystal Reports & SQL Queries) across several SAP Business One databases.
In the case of the SQL Stored Procedures, these were saved nightly as batch flat files to be imported into Oracle. Marli was also able to add a user 'on demand' query that will execute these Powershell commands at user discretion from inside SAP Business One's Query Manager.

SUPPORT: IMPLEMENTATION AUDIT
Marli was part of a team evaluating current systems, business processes and identified strengths and weaknesses which the Corporate Office utilized in making decisions.
They identified integration points between current and future systems and made recommendations where different utilization can cut costs.
PROJECT: LABORATORY SERVICES
This project was one of Marli's most successful, in part due to an excellent SAP Partner and a very dedicated implementation team at the Customer site.
Various customization including FMS, queries and Crystal reports were done which were mostly linked with the Service Module.
Marli used the Advanced GL Determination to setup the back end accounting as er Warehouse and Item Group.
PROJECT: FOOD INDUSTRY
This project was delivered within budget and on time by Marli through setting expectations early on and having weekly project status meetings with the client.
In addition to the standard implementation methodology and phases, Marli also created development specifications for an enhancement to SAP Business One:
Production auto-batch change and reporting:
Customization for Production Process from MRP created PdO’s, changing batch quantities and giving the Production Floor necessary report to Stage Production and Mix Made up Ingredients.
She created a detailed flowchart of all the business processes.
PROJECT: APPAREL INDUSTRY
This project required an enhancement that enabled SAP Business One to have the Inventory show in a matrix. Marli successfully implemented this enhancement and trained the end users on this added functionality. She was able to use standard functionality to show pre-packs that worked well.
She also had unique customer requirements that was satisfied by using user defined fields and formatted searches for NRF color and size codes.
A credit card and UPS enhancement was also implemented successfully.
Marli worked closely with the company CFO in making sure the cost was calculated correctly in Belted vs not-belted styles. A sample process was also implemented to report the locations of samples without affecting cost. A process for chargebacks was also designed and implemented.
She created a detailed user specification document of all the business processes.
PROJECTS: MANUFACTURING
Marli implemented the Brazilian and UK localizations on time and in budget. This whole implementation was done over web meetings.
A unique requirement with the clients certificate of analysis had Marli working with the layout and creating rules for when selected fields need to print according to user defined fields on the item master data.
Marli created detailed user documentation showing the accounting influences behind creating production documents. This showed clearly when and how the applied labor, WIP, raw material and finished goods accounts was affected.

PROJECT: OIL & GAS SERVICE COMPANY
Marli delivered this project on time and in budget.
This project included a few unique requirements that she addressed by using user defined fields and formatted searches. One of these was the clients requirement to show how fluctuating copper prices influences their pricing. This was solved by populating this into a user defined field on the sales documents.
SUPPORT: SAFETY EQUIPMENT
With this established client, Marli assisted with ongoing projects like revamping their Service and Rental departments, training key personnel in Report writing and Printout changes. She assisted in validating for PIM solutions and credit card merchants.
PROJECT: CULTIVATION SERVICES and SALES
This successful project was implemented on time and under budget using only the Standard SAP Business program.
Marli did a few Custom Crystal Reports printing Labels and Bar codes for a Zebra Printer. She also modified the Counting Sheet Crystal Report to have additional Sub-Reports for Serial numbers, Batches and Bins.
The one DB was setup for Branch functionality to be implemented at a later stage.
PROJECT: PROCUREMENT & EXPORT SERVICES
This successful project was implemented using the core SAP Business one with one enhancement for distribution.
Marli did a few customizations with user defined fields and formatted searches according to customer requirements.
She encountered and solved an issue of check printing on a metallic printer by using the correct fonts.
PROJECT: LIVESTOCK SALES & EXPORT
This project was included 4 databases that separated 4 company codes. One of these is located in Canada.
The customer required a custom chart of accounts that used segmented accounts due to financial reporting needs. These accounts were uploaded into the databases.
PROJECT: RETAIL
This project in the toys retail industry was completed successfully by Marli.
Unique requirements included a few user defined fields and formatted searches on the item master data to show on sales documents. This enabled the end customer to know where best to hang the items on shelves.
Marli assisted in creating a visual basic program to solve an issue with the shipping labels.
