PROJECT INITIALIZATION

 

Usually Marli's involvement in the implementation occurs after the sale is finalized. 

 

Her first tasks include the following:

• Project plan creation with a budget for each implementation phase 

• Kick off meeting: Setting client expectations and explaining methodology

 

Assessment of technical infrastructure and software installation will be done in parallel with a technical resource.

 

BUSINESS BLUEPRINT

 

In this phase Marli will gather the following:

• Setup requirements according to the SAP Blueprint configuration document

• Business process and requirements meetings with each department lead

• Master data migration requirements: Customer/Vendor files and Inventory details

• Identify and address scope changes

• Milestone sign off

PROTOTYPING & PILOTING

 

These stages will be the heart of the implementation. Here Marli will take previously gathered requirements and processes and create a working demo database for further testing and team meetings.

 

Typically this will include:

• Initialization and configuration of demo and production databases

• Master data migration

• Validation and testing of business processes

• Layout creation for printing

• Development of end user training

• Plan for production support and cutover

• Milestone sign off

GO-LIVE

 

Go-Live preparation includes:

• Train end users and administrators

• Execute cutover: Import open AR, AP and Inventory counts

• Milestone sign off

Go-Live:

• Onsite support 

• Creation of phase 2 enhancements and reports to be addressed in conjunction with a development team.

• Milestone sign off
